Usability testing reveals the real issues users have when interacting with a website. Good analytics interpretation can tell you what your customers are doing, but one-on-one usability testing, including real time eye tracking can tell you how site visitors engage with your website, or fail to engage. Using these methods we can provide the following insight:

The detail…
The industry standard usability testing software (Morae recording) is integrated into our research lab enabling recording of all user actions (mouse/keyboard) and screen/page changes. The support consultant captures all notes and quotes in Morae, enabling these to be aligned with the test recordings.
The one-to-one sessions in our specialist lab are carefully planned and moderated to cover all relevant points of investigation whilst allowing users to behave naturally, without being led.
Client observation facilities enable you to watch real customers interacting with your site. This is a great way to break through preconceptions and develop consensus around optimisation solutions.
We use a quality, professional recruitment approach enabling us to work with the demographic/segment(s) of your real customers. This is a key point of strength for us over our competitors; we don’t simply use lists; we screen out people who have attended research sessions before.
All our testing incorporates real time eye tracking as standard. The benefits of utilising eye tracking in real time are significant. The test moderator is able to observe where the user has or has not looked when attempting to accomplish tasks and goals and therefore can be more effective in deciding when to enquire further or to simply observe.
The client team can also watch the live track and fixations which immediately improves understanding of how the user perceives the site designs.
